Inspiring Play: Korango’s Australian Animal Finger Puppets
Sometimes the simplest toys inspire the greatest creativity. Korango is proud to have partnered with the Victorian Government's Department of Education & Training to supply our Australian Animal Felt Finger Puppets for "Victoria's Kinder Kit." These special kits go to three-year-old kinder kids across Victoria, helping little ones learn, play, and imagine.
The Magic of Victoria’s Kinder Kit
Starting kindergarten is a big step for any child. Victoria's Kinder Kit celebrates this milestone with tools that inspire learning at home—including our felt puppets. These puppets encourage kids to become storytellers, explorers, and animal lovers, all while building language and social skills through imaginative play.
Meet the Emu and Koala
In 2025 Each pack came with two classic Aussie animals—a lively Emu and a cuddly Koala. The Emu sparks adventures across the Australian outback, while the Koala invites quiet moments of storytelling and pretend play. These characters help children connect to Australia's unique wildlife in a personal way.
Eco-Friendly and Built for Play
Korango's finger puppets are crafted from 100% recycled felt, making them soft, durable, and gentle for little hands. They’re designed for hours of creative fun, and being made from recycled materials, help nurture a love of the environment early on.
Fostering Creativity and Nature Connection
Finger puppets let kids create their own stories and act out wild adventures—no screens or batteries needed. Playing with animal characters helps children learn empathy for wildlife and builds a lasting connection to nature. Try taking your puppets outside and see where their imaginations wander!
Celebrating Indigenous Art
Each set features packaging with artwork by talented Koori artist Leann J Edwards. This beautiful design introduces families to Indigenous art and pays tribute to the Traditional Custodians of the land. Discover more of Leann’s work at www.leannjedwards.com.au.
Bring the Outback Home
Perfect for home, school, or as a thoughtful gift, Korango’s Emu and Koala Finger Puppets make playtime magical and meaningful. Slip them on and watch your child discover the joy of storytelling, learning, and connecting with Australia’s natural and cultural heritage.
